Visiting Abi in Murfreesboro and Sleeping in Memphis Airport
Monday, December 24th, 2007
So, after visiting Abigail Provow (my wonderful girlfriend) in her hometown of Murfreesboro, TN, I was flying back to Baton Rouge — was over Baton Rouge and the Captain said… “we’re sorry folks, we are going to have to head back to Memphis because the fog is leaving us with only 1/8th mile visibility and its not enough to land.” Â So we went back to Memphis — I called hotels — booked. Â So, I slept on the airport floor. Â It was quite exciting.

Saturday, November 10th, 2007It’s beginning to seem to be a lot like Christmas, even though it doesn’t look like it outside. . .

With only 44 days left to go until Christmas, I have decided to start a countdown on my website to the most wonderful time of the year!

So, Educational Housing Services (EHS)provided me with some very cool opportunities while staying in their apartments this summer. One of which was a dinner cruise usually costing upwards of $50 for only $10!! The pictures above are taken from my dinner cruise around the southern tip of Manhattan near the Statue of Liberty.
WestPoint “Beat Navy!”
Friday, June 29th, 2007My parents came to Brooklyn last night (New York) to visit their favorite son and we had a good night on the town. Â We ended up dining somewhere on Smith Street in Brooklyn and the food was less than average. Â Needless to say, today was uphill, in a good way.
We trekked to WestPoint, New York (about an hours drive north) to visit the place where my father was born and where his father became the first civilian to coach the WestPoint Cadet Football Squad at the United States Military Academy. A Lt. Col. showed us around the Post (called a base by the AirForce and Navy).
We were able to see where the coaches, the academia and the Super Intendant live. We also revisited some of my dad’s childhood memories. Monday the new “plebes” come into the Post and start their six-week training before the Fall school semester begins.Â
