So, after visiting Abigail Provow (my wonderful girlfriend) in her hometown of Murfreesboro, TN, I was flying back to Baton Rouge — was over Baton Rouge and the Captain said… “we’re sorry folks, we are going to have to head back to Memphis because the fog is leaving us with only 1/8th mile visibility and its not enough to land.” So we went back to Memphis — I called hotels — booked. So, I slept on the airport floor. It was quite exciting.

It was a fun night. Some music students played their instruments, a local church brought their bell choir and played the bells, the ballroom dance team (and my friend Smoot Carter) danced on the steps of the memorial tower and then “Santa” told a good ‘ole cajun Christmas story with Mike the Tiger and the cheerleaders gathered around little children.

Louisiana State University, located in Baton Rouge, LA, first opened on January 2, 1860 with William Tecumseh Sherman as Superintendent (now known as Chancellor). The Belltower was erected in 1923, a year after the president’s house was built in 1922 (now a street over).
It’s beginning to seem to be a lot like Christmas, even though it doesn’t look like it outside. . .

With only 44 days left to go until Christmas, I have decided to start a countdown on my website to the most wonderful time of the year!

After the LSU v. Alabama Game in the Alabama student section. Final score LSU 41 Alabama 34!

Abi and I after the game before eating some sushi and ice cream, followed by some amazing hot chocolate!
